Alan Thompson will present his acclaimed talk and video, Phones, Fires and Failure, about the wildfire that wiped out Paradise, CA. Alan saw first-hand how our over-dependence on cell phones, land lines and the Internet put lives at risk.

The follow-on presentation by Alan Thompson, Radio for the Rest of Us, will explain how we can use inexpensive GMRS radios in times of emergency when other forms of communication fail.
