CALDOR Fire Information

The Caldor Fire has many of us very concerned.  The fire is burning in steep terrain and is growing quickly. This photo was taken at 7:00 AM Aug. 17th, 2021 from off Hanks Exchange Road.

I know many are looking for sources for the most current information.  Here are some that we have found most useful:

The Forest Service incident website with updates:  

The Eldorado National Forest also has a Caldor Fire Information Phone Line at (530) 303-2455 and is posting current information on their Facebook page and via Twitter.

The CalFire website for Caldor Fire information is: 

Evacuation Orders are listed in the incident websites.  You are encouraged to sign up for evacuation notices through the El Dorado Sheriff's Office's CodeRED system.  Here is a link to sign up:

For those with scanners or GMRS Radios, several Neighborhood Radio Watch groups (NRW) are working to provide current information.
